Book: Twisted Hate
Author: Ana Huang
Series: Twisted #3
Rating: 4.5/5
Spice: 4/5
Tropes: Best friends brother, nemesis to lovers, who did this to you
Plot: Up-and-coming lawyer Jules Ambrose and medical resident Josh Chen get on each other's nerves more than one can count. The only thing they have in common is their love for Ava, Jules' best friend and Josh's little sister, and their aversion to serious committed relationships. But when a work truce turns into a mutually beneficial agreement to help each other blow off some steam without the trouble of dating (because who has time for that?), and feelings start growing, can Jules' past stay in the past?
My thoughts: First off: ALEX IN THIS BOOK! I already loved him enough in Twisted Love, but I adored him in this book so much. His soft spot for Ava is so obvious and I love how it's almost a running joke throughout the series. Ana Huang is the best romance series writer I have ever encountered, the way she plants easter eggs of upcoming books, her transitions into the next book, her cameos of past couples, are all perfection.
Second, the spice in this book is so good. I listened to it on audiobook and was paranoid people could hear. I also loved how their future plans match up perfectly, neither of them are ready to get married or anything any time soon their careers are just starting.

My only issue with this book is they did feel pretty toxic for honestly the majority of the book. While I was hooked and invested, it is definitely not a relationship I could have seen going anywhere past intense hookups. That being said, my view on that definitely changed by the end of the book.
